Who is behind www.foreverafter.co.uk?

Well. I am . This isn't me but my trusty dogs Mungo  and Tigger who sit under my desk while I work .
I bought the business with my husband, Rob, in 2004.   I am a lawyer by profession (as is Rob!) and at the time of buying the business had just finished a five-year term working in the NHS for the Hampshire Ambulance Service. I wanted to do something completely different and Foreverafter appeared on my horizon!

I love running Foreverafter and really enjoy the contact with clients and suppliers.  All the team try to give the highest level of customer service to everyone who contacts us and the testimonials http://www.foreverafter.co.uk/shop/pages/other.asp?area=review we receive bear witness to this. It is not always easy but we are always happy to stop and chat and chew over a problem with brides and suppliers alike, usually over a cup of coffee and sometimes green tea.

I am determined that Foreverafter shall be known for quality, reliability and excellence of service by both brides and suppliers.

How many people are logging onto www.foreverafter.co.uk?
Between 800 -1000 Unique Visitors come to our site everyday. That's an impressive 24,000 - 30,000 visitors per month.   The visitor numbers are 111% more that this time last year and are continuing to grow, and by the end of 2007 we had 300,000 unique visitors to our site!

Unique Visitor: A unique visitor is one person visiting a site within the timescale of a report. e.g. 24 hours, one week.

Where are you on the search engines?
Our Google rankings are excellent.   We appear on Page 1  for all of our search terms - 3 of which are the most popular wedding related search terms ( can you guess which ones? Go to the for the answers):   Wedding Dresses, Wedding Gifts, Wedding Invitations, Wedding Stationery, Wedding Suppliers.  
These are a result of the marketing initiatives we put in place in 2006. The rankings are all achieved organically without the use of pay per click.

Why should I advertise on www.foreverafter.co.uk?
We are an independently owned wedding website run from the New Forest in the South of England.  We are always looking for quality suppliers to advertise on the site and are particularly keen to promote suppliers throughout Wales, Scotland and Ireland.   We also are keen to promote top quality Overseas Suppliers, for our Weddings & Honeymoons Abroad Section.

Since we bought the company it has been undergoing a continual process of re-development . Our intention is simple.   We aim to be the definitive wedding website with a name that represents excellence and great service and which combines the look and feel of a magazine with a business directory - a one stop shop for both brides and grooms.

At www.foreverafter.co.uk you can be sure that the suppliers who advertise with us offer and deliver great service and quality products and a commitment to making the brides day as special as possible.

We keep our pages fresh, clear and concise.  We keep up-to-date with requests and trends.   We offer a monitoring service so that we can provide evidence of the volume of traffic we send to each of our Suppliers listed on our website and we always ensure that our Brides and Grooms have received service that is second to none.

Our Supplier listings start from as little as £45 pa and in addition we like to offer new Suppliers the chance to write a free piece of Editorial for our Magazine about their areas of expertise.   It is our way of thanking them for joining us and a great way to promote their business.

How is the Supplier's Section coming along?
We have increased our suppliers base year-on-year since we purchased the business. We aim to give our suppliers the highest level of customer service we can. We shall send you regular Newsletters and will give you a call from time to time to see how things are going. One of our intentions is to further breakdown the geographic areas we inherited in order to make it easier to find suppliers in a chosen region.  We have already done this in the South East and divided the region into counties at the request of our Suppliers and as a result, Suppliers are happier to select only those areas they wish to cover. We will also be looking to place suppliers only in the geographical area in which they are located.   If a Supplier wants a Nationwide Listing it will, in the future, appear in the dedicated Nationwide Section.  

We are looking to develop a more sophisticated framework which we are confident will make www.foreverafter.co.uk a really useful but easy website to use.  We are also confident that this will encourage both more suppliers and more users to the site.

I already have my own website - shouldn't that be enough?
As you will know websites are very expensive to set up, develop and maintain.   In order to establish a web presence it is important that when a website is developed that the right key words are used.   The importance of Metatags to improve your placing is something that companies such as ours are skilled in and which is why we have a high profile in many wedding search terms.   All this helps to drive business.   For many small suppliers, securing business via the web, is mainly only feasible if a potential user knows your exact website address.

By putting a link on our website, and a reciprocal link back on to your website, you are benefiting from the size and visibility of our site and on the search engines. We in return, as long as you link back, would continue to grow in visibility on the search engines and provide you with a better and better service.   We review our web campaigns continually in order to improve our rankings and your visibility.
